MISSION STATEMENT

The Lauderdale County Sheriff's K-9 unit was reorganized in 2001 with new trained dogs added.

The K-9 unit is made up of two trained dogs and their handlers. Both dogs are crossed-trained for both tracking and illegal drug discovery. The deputy handlers, on the left, Derick Boone with "Bo" and on the right, Joe Shane's with "Fox", refresh the dogs' training on a daily basis.
