SWAT TEAM MISSION:

• Maintain a high level of training and readiness in order to respond when and where the need arises
• Perform assignments with maximum effort to prevent loss of life while completing our mission
• Maintain current qualifications with all assigned weapons and equipment
• Maintain a professional level of performance and awareness of public safety when engaged in operation
• Maintain physical fitness in order to be ready for any mission

The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Swat Team was organized in 1991. The team undergoes continual special training for response to emergencies in the county. They are shown in the above pictures conducting a training excersise in a local school.
